After a whole series of problems during the ongoing Traitor’s Moon event in Hunt: Showdown, an apology from Crytek followed, as well as an extension of the event itself by a few days.
Complications lead to extension
Since the first day, many players complained about connectivity problems, various bugs in the event mechanics and other errors that made it impossible to earn event rewards.
Crytek reacted with several hotfixes, for which the servers had to be taken offline for a while.
The developers apologized for the complications via Twitter and in the official announcement on Steam and extended the event by four days.
The Traitor’s Moon event was supposed to end on April 14, but now it will run until April 18.
A solution is also currently being sought for the possible loss of the current Boost contracts, some of which can also be purchased via the Premium currency:
We are also aware that some of you may have lost out on boosts due to the downtime, so we are currently in the process of determining how to best compensate for these. We will keep you updated once we know more.
Exactly what this compensation will look like in the end, however, is not yet known.
In any case, you now have a few more days to earn the “Early Access” weapons and other cosmetic rewards.
