There are only a few weeks left until the release of Dying Light 2 – and Techland is doing its best to promote it.
In a new statement, the developers promise far-reaching plans for post-release content.
At least five years of new content
It was announced that Dying Light 2 will be updated for five more years after its release, at least until 2027.
In terms of content, there will be new stories, new locations in the game and also many in-game events.
Two story DLCs have also already been announced, which can be obtained either via the various editions or later as paid add-on content.

Support for predecessor backs up announcement
At first glance, this sounds like a pretty big and hard to keep promise. However, if you look at the support for the predecessor, it seems very realistic.
Dying Light was released in 2015 and Techland provided the title with updates until mid-2021 – recently, the Switch edition of the game was also released.
While the plans for long-term DLC support were received positively, Techland also had to deal with some controversy recently. Unfortunately, the game will only be released in Germany in a heavily cut version, and the developers didn’t exactly endear themselves to many with the statement that it would take 500 hours of play to experience everything in the game.
Nevertheless, the anticipation for the successor of the zombie parkour title remains high among many. Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and Xbox One.
