As we have known for some time, a series adaptation of The Last of Us is currently being worked on.
As Neil Druckmann now revealed, the filming is almost finished!
Last day of shooting for the series
In an interview with Geoff Keighley, Druckmann not only showed a new picture from the set (see post image), but now also revealed that June 10, 2022 will probably be the last day of shooting for the first season of the series.
But first to the picture: You can see Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) in a hotel that might look familiar to some.
They also seem to be hiding from a clicker, which is just visible in the dark background.
Actors from the game join the cast
After that, Neil Druckmann also revealed that with Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, the actors of Elli and Joel from the game have also been given a place in the series.
This is to further overlap the boundaries between video games and television, and to honor their roles in the game.
The co-president of Naughty Dog continues to proudly report that he directed an entire episode of the series and had a lot of fun making it happen.
There is currently no date for the start of the series, but it is already clear that it will no longer be released in 2022.
