The developers of the upcoming survival MMO The Day Before are back – and as usual, their latest release leaves more new questions than it answers.
The new teaser trailer shows a fancy sports car racing through the apocalypse.
Shiny sports car in the apocalypse
The trailer was published together with an interview with the Australian colleagues from WellPlayed and also appeared shortly after on the official channel of developer Fntastic.
In the trailer, a shiny, new and completely clean sports car darts through deserted skyscraper canyons to groovy music.
Then the car stops at an intersection and a text appears – “Get ready for the best survival experience of the year”.
If you’re wondering how a brand-new sports car ends up in the dirty apocalypse and what the whole thing has to do with the “best survival experience of the year”, rest assured: We’re asking ourselves those questions, too.

The trailer seems to be strongly inspired by the movie I am Legend, especially the scenery and the deer that flees from the car are very reminiscent of the scene with Robert Neville (played by Will Smith) in the movie.
If you take a closer look at the trailer, you will of course catch a glimpse of the city called “Fortune City” at the beginning, and you can also see a single helicopter in the background at the beginning of the video.
Is the teaser supposed to allude to the fact that there are different vehicles in The Day Before that can be used to get around?
Other unanswered questions
And what about the lawsuit that caused The Day Before to disappear from Steam?
Will The Day Before really be released on November 10, 2023?
As you can see, even after the new teaser trailer, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
As soon as there are new answers, you will of course find them out here with us!
