An official Creative mode is added to the sandbox title Teardown, making customizations even easier for the already active modding scene.

Create – and then destroy again

The trailer released during the PC Gaming Show shows that players can now “paint” and create with voxels to their heart’s content.

Until now, the community was only able to create modding content using external tools. But that didn’t stop fans of the game, as the Steam Workshop is over 5,000 pieces of content and includes weapons, tools, vehicles, enemy maps and even complete campaigns.

The new Creative mode should now make it easier for anyone to switch between destroying and creating at the touch of a button.

But also the experienced modders have reason to rejoice: Update 1.4 brings not only the Creative Mode, but also the Modding API.
This allows you to create scripts that can be used to dynamically change the static maps of the game.

The Creative Mode Update will be released on June 15, 2023.
