All fans of the Stalker series have to be very strong now, because Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been postponed to a later date.
A small consolation is that we won’t have to wait until next year, but only a few months longer, until December 8, 2022 to be exact.
Statement from the developers
In a statement a few hours ago, GSC Game World announced the delay and also provided an explanation:
— S.T.A.L.K.E.R. OFFICIAL (@stalker_thegame) January 12, 2022
However, the delay of more than half a year suggests that the game probably needs more than just a few more tests and tweaks.
Looking back at the many small bugs and partly immature features of the predecessors, it is probably a welcome decision to give the game more time.
After all, we should get more information, updates and showcases in the coming months and thus learn a bit more about the game itself.
