Smalland: Survive the Wilds launches into Early Access

With Smalland: Survive the Wilds, a new title starts its Early Access journey today. We have compiled the most important information about the survival title for you.

The scenario of Smalland

In Smalland you take on the role of an earthling barely bigger than a thumb. After the “giants” (humans) have disappeared, the tiny creatures now reappear and explore the world in their own unique way.

In the game you can explore different biomes, from dense forest to a polluted swamp to ancient ruins from the time of humans.
Puddles look more like a lake, trees appear like skyscrapers, and the broken road is a huge canyon for you.

In this world you will find various hidden NPC characters who will tell you about the story around the world and your origin, and also teach you how to survive.

The most important game elements

The most important task in Smalland: Survive the Wilds is, unsurprisingly, survival itself. You’ll have to defend yourself against various animals – ants, cockroaches, beetles, wasps and spiders will eat you up.

However, you can also tame various animals and make them your allies, for example to ride a grasshopper or a spider.

But also the seasons with different weather conditions will affect your gaming experience and will present you with challenges.

To cope with these conditions you can create different armors, which can also be personalized.
One armor gives you the ability to glide through the air on insect wings, while another unlocks a kind of grappling and grappling hook to move more easily through the terrain.

You can rest in your base, which you can build on the ground or high up in trees using a modular construction system of wood, sticks, leaves and stones.

You can explore the game world with up to 10 players in one game session, PvP is not part of the game experience for now.

Plans for Early Access

The developers have also already communicated the first plans for Early Access. The first content update will be released in spring 2023 and will include the possibility to ride hornets and explore a new biome.

But also a new merchant and a storyteller NPC are planned as well as metal as a new construction resource and also a new tool, a new weapon and a whole armor set.

In future updates, official servers as well as a group system, factions and also PvP will be introduced.

Also on the plan are improvements to the seasons and weather effects, expansions of the game world and thus of course more animals, resources, building options, tools, weapons and armor.

Smalland: Survive the Wilds is now available in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
