Scum – Smokin’ Hot Update brings bunkers, hacking and new AI

The survival title Scum has received a new update with the version number 0.9.
We give you an overview of the most important new contents of the Smokin’ Hot update.

Abandoned Bunkers

You will now find abandoned bunkers in various locations on the map, which hold a few surprises. To enter the bunker you either need a keycard or you have to use the new hacking feature.

In the bunkers you will find new AI enemies, more puzzles and mini-games, and of course high-quality loot as a reward.

Hacking

The new hacking feature serves as an alternative way to enter the bunker. On the left side of the terminal you can see the input value, on the bottom right you can find the current output value and on the far right the desired output value you have to reach.

The buttons on the left can be used to influence the value calculation on the right side, which runs from top to bottom (towards the result).

When you have reached the correct result, pull the red switch on the left and the doors will open.

Power & Light

In the bunker itself it is dark until you turn on the power. With fuses you can work your way to the generator room and insert them there.
Depending on the fuse strength, you can turn certain sectors on or off before they burn out.

This not only turns on the lights, but also activates the doors, number locks and doors.

Number locks for doors

The terminals for the doors are number locks where you have to enter a three-digit code. Conveniently, the often-used numbers are visibly worn, but you still have to try them out.
However, an incorrect entry triggers a signal that alerts and/or wakes up the AI in the bunker.

New AI – Razor

The new AI you’ll be dealing with most often is the Razor. These are failed experiments that consider the bunker their new home.

These enemies sometimes gather in groups and attack from ambush. Keep quiet or take plenty of ammo and a decent weapon with you.

New AI – Mr Brenner

The second new enemy goes by the name of Mr Brenner and is also a failed experiment, which you will encounter on the lower floor of the bunker.
The colossus is immortal, is equipped with a flamethrower and chases you incessantly.

However, with enough damage you can slow him down and stun him for a short time.
You can then extract the Phoenix Tears from its blood – if your medicine skill is high enough.

New attribute – Intelligence

With the Smokin’ Hot Update 0.9 you can finally level up the Intelligence attribute. To do this, however, you have to collect special modules that you have to recharge at the BCU upgrade stations in order to use them.
The higher the level, the less often you need to recharge them.

The higher your intelligence level, the faster you level up all your other skills.

But beware: if you kill yourself, your intelligence level will be completely reset!
So some tactics where you wanted to get out of a situation easily or have another spawn now have consequences.

New male models

Also new in the game are ten new male models for players, merchants and other NPCs.

New weapon: M249

The final item is the new weapon in the game – the M249. The popular and well-known machine gun fires 5.56 caliber ammo and has a large ammo supply, allowing you to effectively keep enemies under sustained fire.
