The February update for the survival title Rust revamps the Arctic biome and brings a new monument, a new AI, a new vehicle and improvements to the game.
Contents
New Monument: Arctic Research Base
The new monument is the Arctic Research Base, which can only spawn in this form in the Arctic biome.
Here, of course, there is a lot of loot to get and you can warm up a bit at the electric heaters.
In addition, the new snowmobiles spawn in the research base.
New vehicle: snowmobiles
The snowmobile is the new addition to the means of transportation in Rust. The snowmobile only spawns in the Arctic research base and has to be unlocked through a puzzle.
The vehicle is powered by fuel and also offers some storage space for a few items.
In addition to the driver, a passenger can also take a seat on the vehicle, who can move freely on the passenger seat and also fight from there.
New AI: Polar Bear
The polar bear is the new AI, which is also only encountered in the Arctic region. The bear is the largest, most dangerous animal in Rust, but also provides extra resources for players after killing it.
The regular bear no longer spawns in the Arctic and now has slightly less health and is a bit less aggressive.
AI Update
The explorers’ AI has been revised, as they can now spawn with healing items that they can also use themselves.
Currently, this innovation is only available for explorers in the Arctic, but it will be expanded later.
There were also improvements to the balancing and movements of the AI.
New item: Spray can
The spray can is a new item that can be made from 100 metal fragments. With the can, already placed items can be equipped with a new skin.
However, you need to have build access to the area, then you can select and change the skin by holding the right mouse button.
