We’ll tell you what’s in the Sentinel Update!

What’s in the Sentinel Update
Sentinal Hardframe Mech
A new Sentinel enemy type that you can fight. The large and heavily armored mech is armed with lasers, grenades and a powerful flamethrower, and also has a jetpack function to quickly cover distances to the enemy.
New drone enemies
The regular Sentinel drones have been revamped and split into different types. There are now heavy combat drones, shield drones, repair drones and a drone type that can call heavy reinforcements into the field.
AI Companion
You can now reprogram one of the drones or even one of the larger robots to act as your companion and help you from then on. Theoretically, you can even make the new mech your personal escort.
New stories & missions
Two new big stories are waiting for you. One is about a raid on a Sentinel post to explore the secrets of Atlas and the Glass World using the information from its archives – or you can join the Space Anomaly crew and start a new story mission.
Improved combat
Combat in No Man’s Sky wasn’t necessarily one of the main aspects until now, and it played like it. Weapons can now be enhanced to include burn or stun effects, and the weapons themselves should now just feel better to use.
There is a new stealth device that can be used to help you ambush or escape from a battle, and the multi-tool can now be used as a more effective weapon as well.
Visual revisions
All multi-tool systems have received a significant visual overhaul which is noticeable in new lasers, projectiles, impacts and particles.
Also, the effects of many weapons now appear more powerful and dynamic.
