The Minecraft update 1.20, called Trails & Tales, finally has a release date – and it’s earlier than most expected. The next major update for the sandbox title is scheduled for release as early as the beginning of June.
What’s in Update 1.20
The biggest innovation that comes to the game with Trails & Tales is certainly the archaeology feature. With the update, suspicious sand and suspicious gravel appear in the game world.
These mark a possibility to find tools and buried bones, but you can also get a primeval egg.
From this egg hatches the Sniffer, one of the new creatures in the game, which can sniff out primeval plants.
Also new is the camel, which can be used as a mount and carry two players at once.
The new cherry grove biome also brings a new type of wood, pink cherry wood, in addition to the namesake trees.
The new bamboo wood also provides even more variation.
Both wood types come with a whole set of their own blocks, of course.
In the decoration section, sculpted bookshelves, armor stands, and hanging signs await their use.
The Minecraft Trails & Tales update will be released on June 7, 2023 for both the Java and Bedrock editions.
