Last Hans Standing – the doctor in focus
The horror cabinet from Killing Floor 2 is not for the faint of heart, but Tripwire Interactive still put together a nice update for the players for Halloween.
Story-wise, the protagonists have finally discovered the retreat of boss Hans Volter – and want to finish off the doctor for good.
Bounty hunting game mode
In order to be able to finance the operation at all, you should first venture into the new game mode Bounty Hunt.
In this mode, special zeds spawn that have a bounty on their heads.
You only get money in this mode if you kill these bounty targets or heal other players – there are no other sources of dosh here.
Of course, other normal zeds spawn alongside the bounty targets – but with each normal zed killed, the bounty targets become more dangerous and stronger.
If you manage to survive the seven waves of the mode, you will be rewarded with a “Bounty Hunt” skin for the Desert Eagle – and also story-wise you are now ready to face Hans Volter.
New map: Castle Volter
The new map for Killing Floor 2 is called Castle Volter and is set in a castle in the Bavarian Alps.
The map is playable in the game modes Survival, Weekly and Endless and will also be available in the game after the event.
New weapons in the game
Of course, you will also get two new weapons for the adventures on the new map, namely the HRG 93R (a pistol modeled after the Beretta) which you can select as an option in the Perk menu and the MG3 Shredder (a Tier 5 machine gun for the Commando class with two firing modes) which you can get via weapon DLC.
