Hunt: Showdown – Everything to know about the Traitor’s Moon event

The next event in Hunt: Showdown is just around the corner. In a livestream, the developers have now presented all the content and special features.

We have compiled all information about the Traitor’s Moon event for you!

Start & duration of the event

The event will start on March 24, 2022 and will then run for 20 days, until April 14, 2022.

• Start: March 24, 2022 – 4:00 pm CET
• End: April 14, 2022 – 4:00 pm CET

Story for the event

For the first time, the Traitor’s Moon event will also contain some story elements that can be unlocked during the event.
The content is about “Mr Chary”, the character that already played a role in the Christmas event.

He is the one who awards the contracts to the hunters of the AHA and has a view on the big picture and what is happening in the bayou.
During the event, you’ll be able to unlock 15 story parts where you’ll learn a bit more about the character.

How to earn event points

You can earn up to 10,000 event points in total. You have to do different things in the game, which are different from the normal gameplay.

• Boss trophies – 4 points
• Small trophies – 4 points
• Normal trophies – 8 points
• Opening event clues & rifts – 12 points
• Looting dead players – 20 points
• Extraction with at least one bounty – 30 points

With these points you can unlock the following rewards:

Early Access Weapons

There are a total of four weapons that can be unlocked as part of the event. The “early access” part refers to the fact that the weapons will only be available through event progress for the time being.

Even after the event, they will only be available to those who have unlocked them in the event.
Only after an update in the future – when exactly is not yet known – they will be unlockable regularly.

Winfield 1893 – Slate (Shotgun)

• Large pump action shotgun
• 6 shot magazine
• New “top load” mechanic that won’t let you lose ammo

Caldwell 92 New Army

• Small double action revolver
• Uses compact ammunition
• Fast loading function

Scottfield Model 3 Brawler

• Close combat variant of the Scottfield revolver
• Built in brass knuckles

Berthier Riposte

• Variant of the Berthier with large bayonet
• 3-shot clips

Contracts & Event Bundle

Contracts are available again in this event and increase both the sight range for event objects in shadow vision and the points received.

• Chary’s implicit contract – 50% more event points for 2 hours (cost: 200 Blood Bonds)
• Chary’s fixed contract – 50% more event points for 24 hours (cost: 500 Blood Bonds)
• Chary’s express contract – 50% more event points for 3 days (cost: 900 Blood Bonds)
• Chary’s binding contract – 50% more event points for 7 days (cost: 1200 Blood Bonds)

The event bundle is also available this time and includes 1000 event points, a legendary skin for the choking bomb and a medium contract and costs 2975 Blood Bonds.
The items can also be bought individually, but then they are of course more expensive.

Event Trait

During the event, the “Signee” ability will be available.
This increases the Darksight range for event objects by 3 meters and increases the points received by 10%.

The ability will cost 10 upgrade points and will be refunded after the event, should you still have a hunter that has it then.

Bonus points with DLC hunters

If you play with certain legendary DLC hunters during the event, you will receive additional bonuses.

• The Turncoat
• The Kid
• The Rat
• Llorona’s Heir

If you play with one of these hunters during the event, you will receive 10% more event points and the Shadow Vision range for event objects is also increased by 3 meters.

Loyalty Bonus – “Ardent Prize

During the event, there will be a loyalty bonus that rewards you for completing the following items:

• Unlock all event content (earn 10,000 points).
• Purchase the legendary skin “Cicada” for the choking bomb.
• Buy the “Meridian Turncoat” DLC

The reward will be 800 blood tokens.
