Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice – Mobile version of the survival building game in development

The developers of Frostpunk have teamed up with two major cooperation partners to develop a mobile version of the survival building game for mobile devices.
Here is all the information currently available on the Free2Play title.

Who is the game being developed with?

For the implementation of the Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice version, IP inventor 11 Bit Studios has teamed up with two big names, namely South Korean game developer Com2uS and internet giant NetEase.
The latter is responsible for titles such as Dead by Daylight Mobile and Diablo Immortal.

What is Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice about?

The general gameplay and setting will not change much. In Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice, you still have to build a city around a coal generator and keep it alive while an ice age rages around you.
However, the game is to be expanded to include a number of features.

For example, there will be a multiplayer where you can team up with other players to trade, complete tasks together or rescue rare animal species.

As the game itself is to be Free2Play, there will also be an in-game store where you can buy the currency “brass ingots”.
You will probably be able to use these as usual to bridge waiting times and speed up processes.

When will Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice be released?

The developers have not yet given a planned release date or time frame. The project has apparently been in development for several years and has held several regionally limited tests, the last of which ended in September 2023.

The game’s official Twitter account occasionally publishes a few tidbits of information about the game, but the linked website is currently unavailable.
