We have summarized all the information that has come to light in the last few days.

Maps

The maps of Escape from Tarkov: Arena are significantly smaller than those of the main game and are partly taken from them or inspired by them.
However, you can also see clear inspirations from popular maps from other shooters.

  • Bay5: Container warehouse with lots of cover
  • Air Pit: Airport terminal

Weapons & Classes

According to the current information, many weapons, modifications and medical items from Escape from Tarkov will also be found in Escape from Tarkov: Arena.

However, you won’t be able to modify your weapons yourself, but will only be able to choose between predefined presets.
Depending on the selected class, different weapons and presets will be available.

The classes themselves are divided into four categories:

  • Assault: Balanced class with mediocre armor, relies on assault rifles.
  • CQB: Class for close combat, equipped with submachine guns and shotguns
  • Scout: class for medium range with semi-automatic weapons and DMRs.
  • Marksman: sniper class with powerful weapons, but only lightly armored and vulnerable

The individual presets/classes can be unlocked with the money and level earned in Arena.

At the beginning of a round you choose the class you want to play.

Crossover with Escape from Tarkov

There will be overlaps between the base game Escape From Tarkov and the spin-off Escape from Tarkov: Arena.

The general level will probably be the same in both games, so you can earn level requirements in Arena in the normal Escape from Tarkov or unlock the flea market in the base game with Arena matches.

There is currently no information about skills and currencies.
However, skills (strength, weapon mastery, metabolism) are not expected to play a big role in Arena or will simply be maximized. It is not yet known if and to what extent playing the game will affect them.
