Escape from Tarkov – These are the current pre-wipe events

The developers of Escape from Tarkov usually don’t reveal when the next wipe for the game is coming until a few days beforehand. However, certain events appear in the game in an indefinite period of time, which announce an imminent wipe.

In the following we present you all pre-wipe events that are currently active in the game and expand the list as soon as there is new information!

List of all pre-wipe events

Day 1 – Airdrop in every round, on every map

Start: 20.06.2022 (Event still active)

In the first hours of the event, there were sometimes several supply drops on pretty much every map, dropped at the same time.

In the meantime, the drops have been reduced, probably due to the noise level, and the chance for a drop in one round is almost 100%.

Day 2 – Obdolbos Stim

Start: 06/21/2022 (Event still active)

The Obdolbos Stim has been made extremely powerful – as in previous events – and turns you into a super soldier for a few minutes, which also makes its price skyrocket.

However, with a 5% chance, you will also die while using it, so be aware of the risk!

Day 3 – All bosses on Customs

Start: 06/22/2022 (Event still active)

All bosses of the game can currently be found on the map Customs. They seem to have a spawn rate of 100% and spawn in fixed areas:

• Killa & Tagilla: Big Red Hall (“Big Red”)
• Shturman: Bridge over the river (between “RUAF” and “Sniper Roadblock”)
• Reshala: Dormitories (“Dorms”)
• Glukhar: Big construction site ( Fortress )
• Sanitar: Old gas station (“Old gas”)

Day 4 – Bosses only on Customs

Start: 06/23/2022
Start: 06/27/2022

On day 4 of the pre-wipe events, all bosses have been removed from their normal maps and can only be found on customs.

Day 5 – Only Trade Goods & Dog Tags as Currency

Start: 06/24/2022
End: 06/27/2022

Since day 5 of the pre-wipe events, no items are available from the merchants that can be bought for any currency (Rubles, US Dollars).

Any items are now only available in exchange for various trade goods (items) and dogtags, as well as the limited offer of the flea market.

Day 6 – Access to the map “Labs” for free!

Start: 06/25/2022 (Event still active)

On the sixth day of the pre-wipe events, developer Battlestate Games has removed the otherwise relatively expensive access to the map Labs.

So anyone wants can join a round on the map as often as they want without having to buy or find an access card.

The well-equipped raiders on the map and the chance to get good loot are also a good option to get new equipment in the current situation (limited traders).

Day 7 – Nothing

It seems the developers took a break at Day 7 of the Pre-Wipe. The Community couldnt find anything that has changed.

Day 8 – Part 1: Monster discounts and unlocked merchants

With the start of Day 8, the prices of all merchants have been lowered enormously. All items, even enormously expensive equipment, currently cost only 1-2 rubles or dollars – and are available in much larger quantities than usual.
So where a few days ago there was a total shortage, now you can buy equipment, healing items, weapons and more in huge quantities – almost for free.

In addition, the maximum level of all merchants seems to be available to all players, regardless of their level and quest progress.

Day 8 – Part 2: Toxin Event

Start: 06/27/2022 (Event still active)

The second part of the Day 8 event is the so-called Toxin event. Each player has poisoned himself with a toxin that will kill you within a few minutes in a game round.

In addition to hunting for the antidote, you’ll also have to deal with bosses on all the maps, limited exctraction points, and a time limit.

When is the wipe in Escape from Tarkov coming?

As usual, the developers of Escape from Tarkov have not given us an exact date for the wipe. There was confirmation during a livestream that a wipe will take place in the next patch for the game.

The events themselves are the strongest indication of a wipe in the near future.

However, the hints given by the developers in their published letters (see below for an example) point to next Thursday, June 30, 2022 as the day for the patch and the wipe.
