Escape from Tarkov – New roadmap, contents of the next update and wipe confirmed

The latest developer livestream for Escape from Tarkov brought us a lot of new information. A new roadmap, the contents of the next update, the next two wipes were announced and new information about Escape from Tarkov Arena was also given.

New preliminary roadmap

As already suspected, Battlestate Games has published a new version of a preliminary roadmap. This shows which content is planned for which update and what is currently still being worked on.

What’s in the next update?

The next update will be a big content patch for Escape from Tarkov and will contain some very interesting new features:

• Loadout Presets
  • You will be able to configure an equipment and buy and put it on with just a few clicks
• Faster change to the sidearm weapon (pistol)
• Random loot container spawns
  • There will be fewer fixed loot spawns for items
• Individual body parts will be selectable for healing
  • You will be able to choose exactly which body part you want to heal
• Helmet lamps
  • Different lamps will be able to be attached to helmets
• Option to sell everything from scav player
  • It will be possible to sell all remaining items to Fence with one button
• Streets of Tarkov expansion
  • Second version of Streets of Tarkov
• New boss: Kaban
• New weapons: PKM, SVT, AVT, AK-12, sawed-off shotgun, PM
• New weapon mods
• New equipment and armor
• Improved trade interface
• Weapon rack in the Hideout
• Crafting indicator in the Hideout

When is the next wipe?

The upcoming update in August will also be the time for the next wipe. The developers confirmed this in the TarkovTV livestream.

In addition, the next wipe is apparently planned for the end of December, which is an absolute novelty for Battlestate Games – until now, the developers hardly leaked any information about this event.

There is no exact date for the patch at the moment.

Rating competitions for permanent bonuses

From the moment of the TarkovTV livestream, the ratings will be opened, which is basically a leaderboard of all players for certain stats in the game:

• Top-100 K/D-Rating
• Experience
• K/D Ratio
• Survival Rate
• Average Profit
• Kills
• Raids
• Longest Shot
• Playtime
• Inventory Value
• Trade Rating

The top 100 winners in each category shall receive a permanent expansion to their personal stash space.
This expansion will include 2 full, additional slot rows and can be added after each wipe from receipt.

New info about Escpe from Tarkov Arena

The internal tests for Escape from Tarkov Arena are still running at full speed. As the developers announced some time ago, the Virtus Pro, a team of professional FPS players has already test played and was quite satisfied with the state of the game.

Currently, there are many internal tests and tournaments and for the coming time, further test phases with several pro teams are planned, which will then also compete against each other and provide further valuable feedback.

A killcam has also been confirmed as a feature for Escape from Tarkov Arena.

Currently, Battlestate Games is aiming for the release of Arena this year, at best in the coming fall.

During the livestream, some promo codes were revealed, which you can activate via the Escape from Tarkov launcher. To do so, click on your name in the launcher, click “Activate Code” and enter the code.
Then you should receive a confirmation.
