The extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov has received a new update, which includes a new performance option especially for the map Streets of Tarkov – which has been suffering from severe performance problems since its release.
In addition, the developers address camping in trees and bring some fixes into the game.
What’s in the new update
With the update, a new item appears in the graphics options, titled “Streets of Tarkov Lower Texture Resolution Mode”.
The developers recommend this for weaker gaming computers that have less than 32 GB of RAM installed.
This is supposed to save memory and improve performance.
Also, a fix has been applied to prevent players from jumping into trees and camping there.
However, some screenshots published after the update (see article image) show that the project was only moderately successful.
The update is completed by some fixes, among other things, the vehicle extractions should now really be gone after the single use.
