The signs in Escape from Tarkov seem to be pointing to pre-wipe again – and there are also exciting news about the spin-off Escape from Tarkov Arena.

Current: Airdrop Event

Since today there is a new event in the game. Approximately every five minutes, supply crates are dropped on all maps except Labs and Factory. These contain two locked weapon crates, each weighing a whopping 15 kilograms.
If you extract them from the map, you can open them and they usually contain two fully modded weapons and up to 60 rounds of the best ammo for each weapon.

Judging by the frequency and glut of ammo this event will bring to the game, many players are assuming a pre-wipe event.
As always, Battlestate Games is not giving any details, but we will know more when another event starts in the next few days.

Bloodhound event

Last week, a new episode of The Chronicles of Ryzhy short series was released. In it, Ryzhy breaks out of the arena area and escapes. As a result, his minions went in search of him and appeared as “Bloodhounds” in all rounds of Escape from Tarkov.
They were extremely well-equipped raiders who ran around in a group and were very aggressive on

An associated quest also unlocked the 7.62 BP ammo, but you had to kill 30 Bloodhounds without dying to get it.
In the meantime, this event is no longer active.

First arena tests with pro gamers

In line with the Bloodhound event, there is also news about the Escape from Tarkov Arena spin-off. Developer Battlestate Games has published a video that shows a test session with Virtus.pro.
This is a Russian eSports organization that provides successful teams in the games Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

According to the short video, these professional players seem to have been introduced to the Arena offshoot and were allowed to test it exclusively.
The fact that the developers are gathering such feedback definitely speaks for Battlestate Games and perhaps even signals that they are currently exploring the possibilities for tournaments and the like.

It is not yet known when exactly Escape from Tarkov Arena will be released.
