The community detectives of Escape from Tarkov have deciphered some new developer puzzles and thus unlocked a new event in the game.
We’ll tell you what the “ARRS” is and what the new event brings with it.

Detective work leads to new event

After the release of the new episode of “The Chronicles of Ryzhy” (embedded below), the developers of Escape from Tarkov have once again equipped their augmented reality portal “ARRS” with new content and puzzles.

This is a website (arrs.host) on which the developers hide all kinds of puzzles and clues that have to be deciphered by the community. Cryptic instructions often have to be found out first and then interpreted correctly in order to get to the clues, which are often waiting for the community detectives in the form of coordinates from the real world.
There, clues are usually hidden that, when uncovered, provide further information about the story behind Escape from Tarkov and often lead to events.

This time, however, the developers probably meant too well with their puzzles, because the detective group “Sons of Soon” around the content creator “NoiceGuy” got stuck, so that Battlestate Games had to provide assistance at a certain point.
Thus, various coordinates – among others in Tokyo, Los Angeles and St Petersburg – could be found out and an event was decoded, which then also started in the game.

More Information

Free access to the Labs map for everyone

The event itself is quickly explained: Currently you can access the Labs map for free, which you can otherwise only enter with a corresponding access card.
You can also enter the map as a Scav player.

The spawn rate for AI-controlled scavs seems to be drastically increased, plus the raiders that are found on the map anyway.
Scav players apparently join the round with about 25 minutes remaining in the raid.

As always, it’s unknown how long this event will last, so take advantage of the free trips and the chance to get high-value items while you can!
