In the last few days, there have been some changes and news about Escape from Tarkov, which we have summarized for you in the following article.

The developers have recently started to share more information about the changes, but some of them are rather difficult for players to interpret.
Where possible, we have explained the changes for you.

Balancing adjustments

Recoil adjustments

The vertical recoil of all weapons in the game has been reduced by 15%. This change is unlikely to affect many of the “meta” weapons, though it might make some less-played weapons a bit more competitive.

Base price adjustments

The base price for some items has been adjusted, this regulates the fees on the flea market among other things.

Weight adjustments for backpacks

The weights of the backpacks in the game have now been adjusted to their real world counterparts. This means, among other things, that some of the large backpacks are now almost half as heavy as before.
Among them are the 6Sh118 Raid Backpack and the SSO Attack 2 Raid Backpack, where the difference should be the most noticeable.

Weapon Spawn Rarity Adjustments

A list has been released showing the rarity level and spawn chance of various weapons in the game.
So for each rarity level, there also seems to be different values within the level that govern how often you get to see the weapons in loot.

Crafting changes

Some crafting recipes in the game have been adjusted, including crafting the M80, SNB, and M61 ammo types.

Ammunition availability at Traders

Some ammunition types of 9x21mm and 4.6x30mm caliber were adjusted in their availability at dealers. Among other things, the required dealer level changed, but also the price per bullet and how many bullets are available per reset.

Medic Case no longer in the flea market

The developers have adjusted the Medic Case so that it can no longer be sold and bought on the flea market.
So now you can only buy or trade it directly at Therapist – a quest will also reward you with one of the cases.

The step is probably explained by the event quest reward, where every player got a suitcase when completing the quest. It is not known whether the case will remain locked from the flea market in the future.

The Chronicles of Ryzhy – Season 2

The story around the character Ryzhy will be continued in a new short film in the universe of Escape from Tarkov.

In the run-up to this, there was an event in the game where bandages had to be handed in. When the event was over, the new film was released.

More Information

New ARG chapter

Timewise a new part of the “ARRS” was also published, an ARG game which often also contains information about the story and new events in the game.
You can find the website for it here: https://arrs.host/

The community has decrypted this in the meantime and came across Google Drive URLs, in which some pictures were found. These are supposed to show, among other things, the character Ragman from the game.
Battlestate Games also published the community’s findings today.
