In Dying Light 2 you can make various decisions. No matter if it’s just an answer in a dialog that leads to another quest or the decision for a faction that changes the rest of the game.
A second playthrough with different decisions should be worthwhile, especially for the successor of the successful zombie parkour adventure.
The whole thing becomes even more attractive with a feature that many players had already demanded before the release: New Game Plus. This has now been announced for April.
Major update for all platforms
In an announcement on Twitter, the developers stated that they are currently working hard on the next major update for Dying Light 2. In addition to many fixes, it also includes the New Game+ mode.
The update is supposed to be released for all three platforms (PC, Xbox and PlayStation), currently targeted for the end of April – there is currently no fixed date.
What is New Game Plus?
But what is New Game Plus anyway? It’s a new playthrough, but you don’t start from scratch. Instead, you’ll keep all the equipment and abilities you’ve unlocked for Aiden.
As far as the story is concerned, you’ll probably just be able to play through everything again – and, of course, you’ll be able to consciously make different decisions than you did on the last playthrough.
In many other games (such as the new Elden Ring), the New Game Plus mode also comes with a higher level of challenge, meaning harder enemies that sometimes have more abilities and also drop better loot.
How the mode will look in detail in Techland’s zombie adventure Dying Light 2 is not yet known.
As soon as there are any news or a release date is set, you will of course find it out here with us!
We're planning to release patch 3 on all platforms by the end of this month. Full notes will be available once the update is live. (2/2) 😊
