The release of Dying Light 2 is imminent, but there are some things you should pay attention to if you want to play the successor of the successful zombie parkour title.
Here we present the most important information about crossplay, versions and compatibility.
Platforms & Versions
Dying Light 2 will be released for PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Within the different platforms, however, there are differences in the versions.
There are also three different versions of the game in addition to these differences:
- Standard Edition – Contains the base game.
- Deluxe Edition – Includes skins, digital goodies and access to the 1st DLC.
- Collectors Edition – Includes more skins, digital goodies and access to the 1st and 2nd DLC.
Compatibility & Co-op
If you want to play Dying Light 2 with friends, you should also keep the following points in mind:
Only the host of a game round takes the progress of the story with him, all players who join only receive items and experience points.
There will be no crossplay between different platforms at release, but the feature will be delivered later.
There is also another restriction for the co-op mode in connection with the cut version: If one player has an uncut version and the other player has a cut, German version, you cannot play together!
