To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Metro: Last Light, developer 4A Games is currently giving away the post-apocalypse shooter on Steam – all week long.
What is Metro: Last Light about?
In Metro: Last Light you take on the role of Artjom, a survivor of the nuclear catastrophe. Mankind in Moscow only exists in the tunnels of the eponymous Metro – and it is teeming with monsters, mutants and other creatures.
The remnants of humanity, however, prefer to fight among themselves than to face the dangers together – how could it be otherwise.
Your task now is to find a solution for the survival of humanity – before it is wiped out by the other dangers of the world, or even manages that itself.
The atmosphere in Metro: Last Light is gloomy, grim and especially in the tunnels also oppressive.
The game combines elements of FPS, survival and horror and is still considered one of the best shooters.
Although Metro: Last Light is the second part of the series, the intro summarizes the events of the first part well for you.
You can get the Metro: Last Light Complete Edition for free on Steam until May 25 at 7pm (GMT+2).
In addition to the base game, it also includes all five DLCs of the game.
If you’d rather play the entire series from the beginning, you’re also in luck, because the entire franchise is currently up to 80% off on Steam.
