It seems that the time has come for the return of dinosaurs to computer screens. After Instinction and Ferocious, Deathground is another dinosaur title that has been announced.
Instead of weapons and confrontation, this one focuses more on gameplay in the style of Alien: Isolation.
Velociraptors instead of Xenomorphs
Unlike the other two dinosaur games mentioned, much of Deathground seems to take place in some sort of underground complex where survivors are hunted by raptors and other dinosaurs.
With up to three players, you’ll work your way through the dark corridors, trying to avoid the dinos and complete tasks.
You’ll be helped by a kind of scanner that looks a lot like the one in Alien: Isolation – and similar to that game or titles like Outlast, the motto is to remain undetected and hide in a confrontation rather than die.
According to developer Jaw Drop Games, dynamic elements should also ensure a high replay value, just like the possible combination of different character classes to reach the goal.
There is currently no release date for Deathground, but the trailer recently presented at gamescom 2023 and the Future Games Show gives you a good first impression of the game’s setting.
If you’re interested, you can already add the game to your wishlist on Steam and keep track of it that way.
