In last week’s TarkovTV livestream, lead developer Nikita teased a special quest series that would also have a special reward.

This quest series seems to have started with a new event on the live servers.

Scav boss promises bigger stash

A video has surfaced today on the official YouTube channel of Escape from Tarkov developer Battlestate Games. In it, Scav leader Fence speaks to players and informs them that he lost some of his men on a mission to the Health Resort.
The talk is about the dubious TerraGroup and information about a bomb that he would have liked to get his hands on.

But the interesting part follows: he asks the player for his help and in return offers to increase his storage space in the game.
This bonus to your stash will be permanent and will be there for every future wipe.

Quest Series Information

We have listed all known parts of the quest series below. We will update the list bit by bit.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 1

The first part of the quest is given to you by Fence himself. For this one you have to go to the map Shoreline and look for his lost men.

You will find them at a scav truck located in a small depression between the perimeter of the swamp area and the health resort.
Investigate the area around the truck and then you’ll be able to leave the raid, though you’ll need to make sure you either spend enough time in the raid or earn some experience points for the extraction to count as full.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 2

The second part of the quest you get from Therapist. Here you have to kill two scavs, which you also find on Shoreline at the same truck. They are drugged and running around headless.

Alternatively, there is also the sunken village on the map Lighthouse, here also spawn the drugged scavs.

Important: As soon as you have killed the two scavs, another condition of the quest will be unlocked.
Loot the two scavs and you will get a new stim from them, the Obdolsbos N. You have to take it with you.

You have to take it with you and leave the raid.

Hint: Sometimes the scavs that respawn during a raid don’t count correctly towards the quest, so try to be first to one of the two locations if possible.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 3

You get the third part of the quest from Prapor. This time the quest leads you to the map Lighthouse and to the water treatment plant, there you should find a laptop.

Go to the main entrance and look around in the following places: Portable toilet, Next to the portable toilet on the sandbags, in the containers and in the small hut.

In one of these spots you should find the laptop and then you have to bring it out of the raid.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 4

The fourth part of the quest also comes from Prapor and takes you to the map Shoreline again. Here you are supposed to find a meeting point of the rogue faction.

This is located in the northeastern part of the map in the backyards next to the construction site, the region is also known as “Cottage” and is known as one of the spawns of the boss Sanitar.

However, this is where both the Scav boss Sanitar and the Goons – the trifecta of Big Pipe, Birdeye and Knight – currently spawn with a 100% spawn chance in every raid.
So be prepared for fierce battles, both with the bosses themselves and with all the players they attract.

According to early reports, you will need to take down at least one of the bosses and be in that area to complete the quest.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 5

The fifth quest you accept at Prapor, but then you will be sent to Mechanic. He wants five Bitcoins to decrypt the laptop from the previous quest.
These bitcoins do not need to have the status “found in the raid”.

Important: After this quest there is a time lock, because Mechanic needs time to decrypt the laptop. He will send you a message with a time to wait from the completion of Part 5.
You’ll have to wait 22 hours, 14 minutes and 45 seconds from then on – this waiting time doesn’t seem to be avoidable either.

Only then you can continue with Part 6.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 6

You will receive part 6 from Mechanic after the waiting time and will be sent back to Prapor, where you can hand in the quest.

You keep part 5 and have to return it to Prapor, that’s correct.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 7

The next quest you get from Therapist. She sends you to Peacekeeper for a deal.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 8

For the eighth quest Peacekeeper wants you to visit every map (except Labs) and kill 10 scavs each.
So that’s…

  • 10 scavs on Streets of Tarkov
  • 10 scavs on Interchange
  • 10 scavs on Customs
  • 10 scavs on Factory
  • 10 scavs on Woods
  • 10 scavs on Reserve
  • 10 scavs on Lighthouse
  • 10 Scavs on Shoreline

However, you must wear “RUAF” equipment and weapons, i.e. Russian versions.

For armor and helmets, you can use pretty much anything that has a “6B” at the beginning of the identifier, for example the “6B47 Ratnik BSh-Helmet”. (Exception: Armor of Killa)
All armor and weapons you can buy from Prapor is also RUAF equipment.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 9

Part 9 of the quest series comes again from Peacekeeper and you have to collect some items for it and then place them at certain locations on different maps.

  • Stash 2x Dan Jackiel Whiskey in the Revis Store on Interchange.
  • Stash1x SP-8 Survival Machete in the Pump Station on Factory.
  • Stash1x Desert Tech MDR 7.62×51 Assault Rifle hide in the dorm (Dorms) in room 302 on Customs.
  • Stash 2x EOTech HHS-1 Hybrid Sights in the guardian house of the sawmill on Woods.
  • Stash 1x GPNVG-18 Night Vision Googles hide in warehouse number 3 in the middle of the map on Reserve.

For the exact drop locations, there are now quite accurate screenshots on the official Escape from Tarkov wiki: Drop locations in the wiki

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 10

In part 10, things get tricky once again. The task is to kill 30 targets – players or scavs – in the old LexOs car dealership on the Streets of Tarkov map with a VSS Vintorez.

You will also need Sanitar’s First Aid Bag (the boss is currently still spawning at 100% on Shoreline) and a LexOs key (“Car dealership closed section key”).
Use the key to unlock the office on the upper floor of the car dealership and drop Sanitar’s bag there.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 11

Part 11 is the exact same quest that unlocks Lightkeeper. If you have already unlocked Lightkeeper, the quest will automatically be marked as failed and you will skip it.

You will be given 4 radio repeaters by Mechanic, which you must then place in four spots on the Lighthouse map:

  • Inside the Mi helicopter at the water treatment plant.
  • Inside the abandoned USEC cottage
  • On the hill directly in front of the lighthouse
  • On the roof of the landing platform

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 12

Same thing here: it’s a modified form of the quest that also unlocks Lightkeeper. If you have already unlocked Lightkeeper, the quest is automatically marked as failed and you skip it.

You also get this quest from Mechanic and have to bring him the following things:

  • 1x Piece of Plexiglass
  • 1x Insulating Tape
  • 1x Military Circuit Board
  • 1x Military COFDM Wirless Signal Transmitter

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 13

Another Lightkeeper quest, if you have already unlocked him you can skip this one.

In part 13, Mechanic gives you the task of finding a V4 Flash Drive on Customs and using it to flash the radio transmitter.
You can find the V4 Flash Drive on the map Customs in the building where the TV studio including the green screen is located (Warehouse #6).

One spawn for the USB flash drive is on the right part of the bench that is to the left of the door (when you stand in the room and look at the door) and one is on the edge of the desk just to the left of the green screen.

Bring the USB stick out of the raid, then you can start flashing the radio transmission device in the hideout.
But be careful: Make sure that the power stays on during this time, otherwise the action will be interrupted.

When you’re done, you can take the device to the lighthouse on the Lighthouse map. The guard Zryachiy will leave you alone and you can pass.
However, you should turn on the power beforehand, otherwise you won’t get any further.

The quest will then lead you to Lightkeeper.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 14

For his help with the rest of the decryption, Lightkeeper wants you to get him three reagents from Map Labs.

The reagents are located in the rooms that are opened with the green and black Labs keycards.

However, it seems that the items do not disappear after you pick them up, and you can theoretically wait for someone else to open the rooms.

You will find the reagent tubes on the research desks in the rooms, they are gray cylinders. You can check the exact positions again in the wiki: Reagent locations in the wiki

You have to bring the reagents back to Lightkeeper on the map Lighthouse and complete the quest there.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 15

You get the 15th part of the quest series from Fence. He sends you to the map Woods, where you have to get USB sticks with secret information again.

They are located in the Scav Bunker, which is under the radio antenna in the northwest of the map. Look on the cabinets and tables as well as on the beds, you should find them there.
Meanwhile, this will unlock another quest component that will require you to go to the Labs map again.

You also need to have the TGL MO key (TerraGroup Labs manager’s office room key) with you. You can also buy it at the flea market.
The key opens the managers office and there you have to do the placement at the table with the two screens.

After that (yes, we are still on the same quest) you have to return to the Lighthouse map and go to the Black Chalet.
There you will find a laptop on a table next to a recorder with a Labs logo on it. Perform the interaction here as well.

Then go out of the raid and to Fence.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 16

The next part of the quest comes from Therapist again and you have to get 10 “Obdolbos of Truth” – the new Obdolsbos N are meant.

You can get them from the drugged Scavs you can meet on Shoreline and Lighthouse.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 17

Part 17 comes from Mechanic again and he wants you to place a WI-FI camera on Reserve.

You have to place it on a forklift in the garage bunker near the big sliding door.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 18

For the penultimate part of the quest series, you have to take out 25 raiders – the stronger and better-equipped scavs – while wearing RUAF gear, as you did in Part 8.

By RUAF gear and weapons, you mean Russian versions.

For armor and helmets, you can use pretty much anything that has a “6B” at the beginning of the identifier, for example the “6B47 Ratnik BSh-Helmet”. (Exception: Armor of Killa)
All armor and weapons you can buy from Prapor are also RUAF equipment.

Raiders can be found on the Reserve and Labs maps.

The TerraGroup Trail – Part 19 & Reward

The grand finale is waiting for you in Part 19. This quest comes once again from Fence.

You have to clean up and eliminate witnesses, no matter who they are. For this you have to kill 7 targets – scav or player – during a night raid (starting at 10pm) on Shoreline.

Then the reward for all your efforts awaits you: +2 rows of expansion for your in-game stash, which equals 20 additional slots.
These additional slots will remain with you throughout all upcoming wipes and are permanent.
