Warzone & DMZ – How to get the MX Guardian shotgun

With the Season 4 Reloaded update, the MX Guardian is a new weapon that you can play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Warzone and DMZ.

We tell you how to unlock the new automatic shotgun with meta potential.

Unlock Sector in Battle Pass

To unlock the MX Guardian tasks at all, you’ll need to unlock one of the adjacent sectors in the Season 4 Battle Pass. Those who have the Blackcell version of the Battle Pass have an optional additional starting point nearby, all others must first unlock their way to weapon through it.

All tasks for the MX Guardian in overview

Task 1

• Get 10 ADS Operator Kills with Shotguns
  • Reward: Emblem – Dependable

The somewhat cryptic description means that you have to kill ten players while looking through the sights (“Aim down sights” – ADS for short).

Our tip for getting the job done: Use the Bryson 890 and upgrade it to the fastest possible aim down sight speed.

Task 2

• • Get 10 Hipfire Operator Kills with Shotguns
    • Reward: Calling Card – Gunfire

Self-explanatory, kill 10 enemies with shotgun blasts while shooting from the hip.
We recommend the KV Broadside as a weapon here.

Task 3

• Get 10 Headshot Operator Kills with Shotguns
  • Reward: Loading Screen – Fanning Hutch

Also pretty self-explanatory, though the headshots come naturally when playing with the shotguns on small maps.

Task 4

• Get 10 One Shot Operator Kills with Shotguns
  • Reward: Double Weapon XP Token (1 Hour)

You can only use one shot for each player, so a shotgun with the highest possible damage is recommended.

We recommend the Bryson 890 with attachments that increase your damage range.

Task 5

• Get all other Sector Rewards
• Get 30 Point Blank Operator Kills with Shotguns
  • Reward: MX Guardian

Close-range kills – or “Point Blank”-Kills” – must be done from a maximum distance of 5 meters and you must get close to the enemy.

It is advisable to build a weapon that is as mobile as possible and that can also quickly move from sprinting to firing.
We recommend the KV Broadside here, as you can quickly follow up with shots if you miss or cant kill with the first hit.

How do I level up the MX Guardian quickly?

The fastest way to level up the MX Guardian is probably via the regular multiplayer. There is currently the map Shipment 24/7 – small map, many players and short distances.
Use bait grenades to get additional experience points.

The second fastest method might be the Plunder mode in Warzone, when you make contracts with the weapon in your hand.

Of course, the Double Weapon XP marker you received when you unlocked the game speeds things up even more, and the one hour time should be enough in any case.
In our test, we needed about 30 minutes.

Good MX Guardian Loadout

Once you’ve unlocked the weapon and leveled it up, all you have to do is click together a good loadout or weapon setup. We have prepared a suggestion for you here, with which we liked the weapon in Warzone.

However, the weapon is very variable and versatile with options for burst fire mode and the ability to use fire and explosive ammunition.
