Dark and Darker – New video shows the Warlock class

While the legal dispute between Dark and Darker developer Ironmace and Nexon continues, the developers are still working tirelessly on their game.
In a new video, the new Warlock class is introduced.

In the video we follow a player with this class through a game round and get to see some of the abilities:

• Curse of Pain: Instantly deals 10 magic damage to the target and curses them with Agony. Agony: Receive a total of 10 magic damage distributed over 8 seconds
• Power of Sacrifice: Curses the target with sacrifice, losing 2 health per second but increasing strength by 15.
• Curse of Weaken: Weakens the target. Weaken: Reduces base stats by 20%.

Interestingly, the class does not rely on mana, but uses health to cast spells.
Also on display is the “Torture Mastery” perk, which apparently ensures that the player gains health points when his curse hits an enemy target.
In addition, normal healing items don’t seem to have any effect on the player, so a bandage and a healing potion are used that don’t restore health. It could well be that this is also an effect of the perk.

All abilities can probably be cast on your own party members as well, for example to trade life for strength.

Last, of course, is the really fancy equipment of the new class.

Meanwhile, it is still unclear when we will finally get to test the new features that were shown in this or the last video for Dark and Darker.
As for the ongoing legal dispute with Nexon, there is no news worth mentioning at the moment.
