It’s been just over a year since Dying Light 2 was released – and the developers have targeted five years of DLC content for the game.
Surprisingly, Techland seems to already be looking into the possibility of a sequel, as a poll on Twitter shows.
What role do you want to play in Dying Light 3?
The Dying Light franchise director Tymon Smektała recently started a poll on the social media platform. In it, it first clearly states that this post is not meant to be an announcement for Dying Light 3.
However, he says that the team had a discussion about the topic when the new update was being finalized and did not come to an agreement.
He then asks what role fans of the series would like to take on in a potential Dying Light 3.
The choices are a normal survivor, a Nightrunner, a Pilgrim, or a GRE agent who has switched sides.
Nearly 6000 people voted and in the end, the GRE Agent won out over the rest with a whopping 42.8%, with the Pilgrim coming in at the other end with 4%.
This is hardly surprising, since Aiden is also a Pilgrim in the current title.
DISCLAIMER: This is not Dying Light 3 announcement 🙂
But – we were chatting today overseeing last details for the Gut Feeling update (3 days to go!), and we couldn't agree…
…so please help: if we do DL3, would you be most excited if the main hero was (as a "profession"):

As the franchise director already noted, we can’t take this opinion piece as a direct or indirect announcement for Dying Light 3, but there’s probably no question that this step will follow at some point.
However, both this “teaser” and a planned update occur very close to the release date of Dead Island 2, a direct competitor in terms of zombie games.
However, we can only speculate whether this is a planned action for this occasion.
