A new gameplay video for Dead Island 2 has been released – and gives us more insights into the soon to be released zombie title.
In a whopping 14 minutes, we accompany British girl Dani as she works her way through the streets of HELL-A, dismembering many undead in creative ways.

Among other things, various melee weapons including modifications are shown, but also the various firearms and possible abilities of the characters.
The game world itself can often be used to eliminate the zombies – no matter if it’s exploding heaters, shot at gas cans or favorably running electric circuits in combination with water.
Many fans will probably also be interested in the effects of the various attacks and weapons on the zombies. In the trailer, they are beaten to a pulp, hacked to pieces, blown up or catapulted through the area.
The zombie variants and special infected also make their appearance: soldiers whose carried grenades can be detonated specifically, screechers that attract other undead, zombies that spit poisonous slime or burning “runners”.
Even more difficult are the so-called “Apex” zombies, which are even more dangerous and challenging due to mutations.
Dead Island 2 will finally be released soon after years of waiting. After the title recently reached Gold status, the release has even been moved up a bit.
On April 21, 2023, Dead Island 2 will be released for the PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
